Amir Mitchell-Townes (born September 8, 1999), also known by his stage name Uhmeer, is an American actor and rapper. He is best known for portraying Zay Babineaux in Girl Meets World alongside Sabrina Carpenter. He also has a music career, having previously performed rap music under the name AMIRacle. He is the son of Jeffrey Townes, also known as DJ Jazzy Jeff, who is famous for having appeared in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and his frequent musical collaborations with Will Smith.
On October 22, 2018, Uhmeer was announced to be featured on Sabrina Carpenter's song "Hold Tight", from her third album Singular: Act I. This made Uhmeer the first featured artist to ever appear on a song by Sabrina Carpenter. Carpenter contacted Uhmeer as she was in need of a bridge for the song, and Uhmeer sent Carpenter his part several days later.
During Carpenter's performances of "Hold Tight" on The Singular Tour, Uhmeer's vocals were pre-recorded. However, Uhmeer himself made a surprise appearance at the show in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to perform his rap, marking the first time that he and Carpenter performed live together.
